Very Poor Quality

I purchased product with this item number in the past and was very happy with it. I recently purchased more 4 packages of the same item number and it is junk. Lots of open knot holes, and very poorly machined tongues and grooves that do not line up, if they are even intact. Comparing labels, I found that the source of the new product was different from the original, including company and country of origin. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU ARE READY FOR 50%+ WASTE. Tongue milled incorrectly

Tongue portion was milled off center & would not allow the groove portion to align properly. Had to cut off backside portion of groove to allow boards to lay flat & fit together.

It should have never left the factory

Design Innovations is fine, this was NOT Design Innovations, but another brand. It was garbage. I barely got 50% good material out of it. Chunks of the planks were missing, the sides of the groove were paper thin and if not already broken, they broke at the slightest misalignment. This should have NEVER LEFT THE FACTORY if there was any Quality Control at all. I returned it after trying to scrape a few pieces out of what I purchased.

Lowe's delivery is inconsistent

The product is what we have been using for a home project. Recently stock has been low and damaged. Had to search many stores to find what we needed. Resulting in online orders

Would have been perfect if they were good quality

packaging says these slats are beaded on one said, plain on the other. They are not. They are plain on both sides. Also very rough finish, inconsistent widths (too narrow in places) causing a lot of waste during my project

anticipate more than 10% waste

After reading all of the reviews, I was wasn't sure about trying this product. There were several negative reviews related to quality. I purchased five bundles to begin my project (all my local Lowes had in stock). I followed the product instructions and applied my finish before installing the planking. Low price, but boat tons of work

Don’t attempt unless you are looking for a VERY rustic look. I needed as thin as I could get in order to maximize space in my pantry. I’ve spent close to 40hrs over the course of a few weeks, filling, sanding, priming, sanding again to get the look I’m after. Also, about 10% is waste due to warping, knots, breakage, etc. This product could work for you if you are wanting to stain it and love the knots/holes/textures.
