I bought 3 of these. Installed 2 and both broke.. Do not waste your money on this. Buy the brass/steel ones.
Made it work but don't recommend
Had to cut an inch or two on both ends, but that was because of my particular sink. Problem was that the down rod is only held in the rubber/plastic end of the main piece by a spring clip. One pull up on the rod and it comes out. I used hose clamps which was awkward doing but so far it is holding.
Danco EZ Connect
Who ever designed this apparently never installed one of these on an actual sink in a cabinet. Kept coming off after ,a couple of months.
DONT BUY
Leaked until it broke. Cheap, poorly designed arm for stopper. Requires silicone to seal rubber seal.

three time fail
I installed this sink drain 3 times. First time i used pliers to tighten the basin nut but the top flange nut broke. The second time i used less effert on the basin nut but the flange nut broke. The third time i dod not use pliers at all. It was all hand tight and the flange nut broke.
Pop up installation
I had to use electrical tape, to tape parts together to make this work. The linkage arm would not stay connected with the lever rod, like in the picture. It kept just pulling away. I had to use electrical tape to tape the two parts together.
Returning it,, both leak
I bought two of these when I was replacing the vanities in the bathroom, thought why not put in new drains, seemed easy enough to put in, I am not a professional plumber, but have done this dozens of times. well cannot stop the slow leak around the area of the ball or the connection to the drain pipe, and now the drain stopper popped off one of the sinks . I wish I had read the reviews, but saw it on clearance on Lowes so thought I was getting a deal. NO.. no matter how much I try to tighten...
Bendable
Lever rod and linkage arms should not bend, but they bend a lot. Unstable and not useable unless you have a real linkage rod and lift linkage. Thank goodness I head some old parts. This is not Lowe's quality. Can't believe they have this item
Simple
As a single mother of two, I found this unit very easy to install in my home. Yes it is plastic, and I was skeptical at first. Bought three installed, all three myself, and they work just fine. Perfect for the do it yourselfers!
