The long awaited barn door hardware installation

We have what I call a foyer in our master bathroom between the walk in closet and shower/toilet room which contains the vanity. It’s open to the bedroom area. I had to build a header to install the barn door hardware. Simple task right. After choosing the product but prior to receiving it my right wrist was crushed when a heavy commercial door closed on it. I would not buy this again. Should have returned

This product did not come with instructions. We were able to get the doors hung but not the way it looks in the picture. We had to buy sliders for the base of the barn doors.

New door for the den.

This hardware kit was perfect. Everything i needed to build and hange this barn style doorvwas provided. I do recomend having a helper when hanging the door. It adds a great charater to our live space.

Barn Door Kit

I received this item and have to admit it took me awhile to submit a review because of the instructions. The item is well built and durable. It's just that the instructions are hard to understand. For example they give measurements in decimals like Step 1 tells you to measure the height of your door plus add 2.4", hard to find a tape measure in .4". I tried to convert and the measurement was still off and ended up having to redrill and mount the rail twice!! Not happy about patching holes....

Really simple instructions

Thought it would be difficult to assemble on my own but the instructions are laid out really well. Using this as a partition in my garage. One side son’s gym and the other my workshop. Wheel bearings seem sturdy and run really smoothly. Nice paint finish on them. Will post a finished pix of project after j replace my phone

Tough Beauty

The kit comes well packed in plastic foam, protecting the painted parts well. The rail and the hanging brackets are made of heavy bar-stock. All other parts seem to be just as tough. Before and after hanging, it looks like it should last for many years. For the frame of my doors I used 2x8's and the thickness was just right. The rollers move back and forth with smooth ease. Heavy duty barn door kit

This was a tough installation for one person. I would recommend you have at least two persons maybe three if you need one to hand you stuff or stuff your utility belt full of everything in advance if your like me, you are going to need the following tools not supplied to properly install this door. 1. We love our new doors!

These tracks compliment the doors nicely and provide a strong hold to the heavy wood. The slide is smooth and I especially love the soft close feature. Tracks are quiet as well, which I don't know of many tracks that don't roar at least a little bit. Overall, love them!

Sturdy Product

The Dura-Lift sliding door hardware is a solid and sturdy Product. The parts are covered with a high-grade black powder coating. Bolts and accessories are made of heavy-grade steel. The easy-to-follow instructions were clear and concise with pictures to aid in construction. I finished the project in about two hours, this is a fun project even for the novice.
