Learn MoreThe DWE6421K 5 In. single speed random orbit sander kit with hook and loop pad has a 3 amp motor that delivers 12,000 OPM. The separate counterweight reduces vibration and along with the rubber overmolded grip provides comfortable sanding. A shorter design allows users to get closer to the work surface and the one-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors.

Rubber over-mold in all of the critically areas of the sander

Workhorse in my shop
I have used this sander for 3 years now, and it’s a workhorse. The only thing I had to do is to replace the pad, which was inexpensive and simple to do. It’s one of the most used tools in my shop. Great product.

Dust collection is non-existent.
Bought this a few days ago and very disappointed. Nowhere near as stable and as smooth as the same electric sander Dewalt made 12 years ago that still outperforms this new one. Good for the large jobs.
We just had the finished removed from our log sided home. As part of refinishing the siding we are sanding the whole house. I bought my third DeWalt sander, so additional family members could sand at the same time. Bought the same sander because of the experience with my other two Dewalt sanders. They just work!

Best orbital sander!
I've had my orbital sander for 13 years! I just had to replace the pad for the first time. I've tried other orbital sanders but nothing compares to the "Beast" (my own nickname for my sander" that DeWalt makes. I've used my sander for all kinds of woodworking and it never disappoints! I would recommend this sander to everyone looking for an orbital.

Replacement pad nightmare
We are a Carpentry shop and have bought 3 of these sanders over the last 1.5 years. We have not been able to get the correct replacement hook and loop pads. Every time we order a pad kit. The pad comes with 3 mounting holes. All of our sanders pads have 4 mounting holes! The pads wear out quickly and the replacements never come correct. Great orbital sander for the price
I had received this as a Christmas gift this past year and it definitely worked better than my ryobi one I had in my tool box. The only issue I have is it is a single speed so vs the variable speed it’s not as good but still great for the value. I recently used this one a farmhouse table I made and I was impressed with the quality it provided.
