If you are looking for options for outdoor cooking besides bbqing this is the grill for you. All meat that I have cooked on this thing the juices get locked in and is a pleasure to eat. Once assembled we followed the instructions on how to season the griddle. We found using the lid during this process to help quite a bit. We used olive oil that we added our own seasoning to.
