What Customers Are Saying
The Copper Green wood preservative is an effective product for protecting outdoor wood structures against rot, UV deterioration, and termite damage. It soaks well into the wood and provides good protection, though the brown/red color can fade and darken over time. Application can be messy and tricky due to the thin, runny consistency, but using a brush, rag, or sprayer helps achieve even coverage. The product has a strong odor that dissipates over time. Overall, most users were highly satisfied with the performance and protection provided by this durable wood preservative.

Effective, but smelly. Oh well!
The wood preservative is a bit smelly, but effective. It's a good trade-off.

Get it and use it now!
This is the best product and only thing that really works in this category. I've used 20-30 gallons over 20 years with various projects in CA (dry) (termite and rot protection) and SD (wet, ice)(rot protection). For termite protection, I recommend repeat treatment every 2-3 years. I use it on cut ends of treated lumber but also coat treated and untreated wood, to improve longevity. You can turn non-ground rated lumber into lumbar that will probably last longer than you need it to even with gro...

Great product!!!
I actually bought and used this product for my 2 decks (I have an upper deck and a lower deck). That was over 5 years ago. My decks are still in good shape, considering that they're about 22 years old now, and I'd like to keep them that way for another 10 years, if possible. Hence, I plan on buying more of this, to do just that! Highly recommend, but I do have to forewarn anyone buying/using this - yes, it IS stinky!

It smells bad but it really sheds water. Nice color on new wood but turns really dark on previously treated wood using some other product. I recommend it.
