Great Shade on a Budget

For not being the highest quality shade, one could buy, this shade is surprisingly efficient. I put the shade on a window that was significantly wider than this 72-inch shade (which actually covers only 69.5 inches). My home is fairly large with large windows. I was desperate to block the afternoon heat and sunlight from my living room window which gets the heat and glare of the afternoon sun from the south-west. Works very well for the price point.

This install is about as simple as it gets, and that includes having to switch the end plates to "top mount." In the box you get: the shade itself (hollow plastic, flattened tubes linked by fine nylon twine); a crank end plate, an idler end plate, a crank handle, and four screws (which appear to work just fine sans anchors when mounting to metal) with anchors. Blinds Good and Bad

The idea of the shade works to keep the sun out. However the cheaply made brackets do not work well. The wind will knock the blind down. When adjusting the blind it also falls out at times. A metal bracket would be a much better and safer design.
