These edging sections are manufactured with separate stakes so you don’t have to spend time or energy snapping them off. The stakes are also longer and thicker than the stakes that come attached to the edging sold in many stores. To install Colmet Classic steel edging, either pound the edging into the ground or make a narrow trench using a half-moon edger or a spade. If your ground is dry or firm, wet the ground with a garden hose before beginning. Edging sections connect using the stakes. To account for the 8-inch overlap, divide the total linear feet needed and divide by 6.33. Round up any decimals to ensure an adequate number of edging sections to complete the job.
