On the website it say's that the smoker is 21.5"x45"x21.5"... THESE ARE INCORRECT!!! THE REAL Dimensions are 16"x45"x14''. I can't believe a company that has been around as long as Char-Broil can't get the correct measurements right. ( have photos of the correct measurements but there is no where to upload them.

i have 4 vertical smokers for char-broil
love it! I have 4 vertical smokers from char-broil now. The only thing that i wish is the water pan not to rust out even if no water is ever used. The part that the flames hit the pan will rust and fall apart due to the heat. I hope the new model will be better and last longer.

Vertical 595 Smoker
My smoker struggles to get over 222 degrees. I have removed and installed the venturi gas tube, and I get a great flam but not much over 222 degrees

Got the smoker for my birthday and I love it. There's nothing the smoker can't cook.

No Heat
Poor design traps all heat under the chip/drip pan. Relies on the pan to heat the rest of the smoker. Putting liquid in pan cools the smoker. Grease drippings cover the pan and then kill the heat conduction. Would not buy again.

Some real failures
Very similar in design to my prior box smoker - a MasterBuilt. I bought this one because the bottom of the MB rotted out and failed. MB was a very poor design, lousy material. This one seemed a better design - the chip bowl and water bowl are together in a sliding drawer. But... 1. The door doesn't seal well and a fair amount of smoke comes out the door. 2. The vent at the top is clever, but I would prefer to be able to close it further. 3. The flame seems to have two settings "high" and ...
