PLZ NOTE: the left-to-right width of this is NOT 19.75 inches as advertised, rather it is 19 inches. I needed something between 19.75 to 20 - this, although described that way, is not 19.75! I'll have to take the thing to the hardware store to figure out how to modify it to extend it.

Not completely extendable
It's sturdy, and I think it will last a good while. I was surprised, though, that when extended width-wise, not all of the crossbars extend, only the ones on either end. But that'snot reason enough for me to return it.

Surprising Universal fit
It was surprising that Char-Broil didn't offer a specific replacement for a Char-Broil grill. This leaves an open are about 2.5" across the full width of the grill that is perfect for swallowing grilled items if one isn't careful

Terrible quality black residue lasted one time
Purchased to replace an old grate but this one was worse than my old worn out grate. First, I am very serious about cleaning and oiling the grate before AND after using so this was not a user error. I guess because it's coated steel you can't get the black part clean. After using one time no matter how much you scrub with brush, oil wipe when hot, or wash it in hot water, the black residue stays. Looking forward to receiving replacement grate
I am looking forward to receiving this replacement grate for my Charbroil charcoal grill that was received as a wedding gift back in 1973. The overall grill is in great shape and the original grate finally needs replacing after all these years. This grill lasted much longer than the marriage and one of the few items that I was able to take with me. That woman never wanted to cook. I expect the same quality from the replacement grate and based on my experience with my grill, would highly recommen...
