Have had it for a couple of years. Never any trouble. My only problem right now is that I can't find the remote. Hope I can get a replacement.

Did not work!
after spending 2 hours installing the fan by a professional electrician, the remote would only work on speed 6, and the fan made a rubbing noise. We had to take it down and return it. Also had to pay the electrician for nothing. We spent more money on this fan than other in our home, because we wanted a high quality Casablanca in our family room. Cheaper brands worked fine.

Works as advertised but vibrates.
The top motor cover is made of stamped sheet metal and it vibrates at various frequencies. I disassembled the motor and coated the inside of the cover with black latex caulk. This works perfectly and the motor runs quietly now. Every feature works OK.

This fan installed easily as this type of project goes and works nicely. The Casablanca company does a great job particularly with parts identification. Parts bags have identifying marks so you know what screw bag goes with which step! That was nice. The fan runs silently, no hum. The remote control is a good one, not too small and has a 6 button fan speed control not just 3 as my other fans do. Reverse direction is on the remote too, cool!
