Top racks are rusting in 4 months.
Overall I like the quality of the Woodwind 36, but the top racks, which appeared to be stainless steel, have rusted just by sitting outside in a cover. I have never used these and was a bit shocked. By the way, I've only had this unit 4 months and used it 5 times.

One of the best
Great smoker, huge upgrade from my DLX! The area is huge so you get a nice even smoke.

Frustrating
Bought a couple of years ago.i love it when it’s working! However, I have had to work on it repeatedly. First, was the the auger shear pin. You have to take it completely apart, and I follow the instructions on emptying the bin. This has happened more than once. Second was the thermostat. Not a difficult part to replace, but still should have failed already. Last now, 3/4th through cooking a thanksgiving turkey the fan goes out. Shouldn’t have to work on a grill this much for this price point. I...

Good product, could be great w/small changes
Pros: Cooks and smokes as I would expect from a Camp Chef product. Cons: The drip tray is smaller than the cooking area so grease can accumulate at the bottom near the fire box. This requires more frequent cleaning. The front legs are very weak and wobble terribly when moving, especially if you go over bumps. I had to reinforce them to prevent them buckling while moving.

Woodwind 36 was a great choice!
The Woodwind 36 came very well packaged and in great condition despite some outward appearance of rough handling on the packages. Inside was well protected. Assembly was easy, although instructure were wordless with pictures only. Just pay close atte tion to part shaded and the details of the diagram and you will be fine. I chose this model for the ability to flame grill if wanted. The first cook was using the Side Sear grill with some chicken breasts. Worked great and they were delicious....

Pure perfection with none of the work
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] And absolute game changer, I've been looking at this thing for the last 4 years and finally pulled the trigger.

The Most Important Cooking Item in the House
I bought mine over two years ago. In the beginning the Wi-Fi would drop but an upgrade about 6 months ago solved that. I use an average at least twice a week. The side kick allows the griddle or the grill box. All on one. I will never be without my Camp Chef.
