What Customers Are Saying
The gas smoker has a large capacity and can produce tasty smoked meats, but some users report difficulty maintaining consistent temperatures, faulty thermostats, and door leaks. It may require using a separate digital thermometer and careful gas control to achieve optimal performance. While offering good value, customers prioritizing precise temperature control may prefer an electric smoker model.

A 65 lb smoker with no wheels
Received mine today. My review is basically on the field of it. Instructions are pretty straightforward but, I cannot believe you would make a 65 lb smoker without putting wheels on it. Any suggestions?

My 4th vault purchased. Love them.
I have used a vault for over 15 years, running 2 of them at a time many many smokes. I just bought my 4th vault. I have several other smokers but this is my favorite by far. Used 2 so many times I had to replace them both. Quality is great and so versatile. Love it.

Great Smoker. Very easy to use.
I've had the 24 inch smoke vault for 6 years now, and it's still going strong. I run it on mains gas. I did find that I had to drill larger than the recommended #51 drill when converting, otherwise I couldn't get the smoker temp over about 260F. I drilled out to 5/64, which was the next size up drill that I had. Smoker will get to 450F on high, although obviously I don't smoke at that temp. If you're smoking in the winter well below freezing it helps a lot to have that oomph in reserve too.

Love my Smoke Vault 24
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received a Camp Chef Smoke Vault 24 as a gift on fathers day a few years ago. I truly love this smoker. I've done a few things to my smoker to tighten up the Smoke leaking from the smoke, like I added a food grade,non-flammable felt seal tape to around the door and sealed up areas around the Smoke with a food safe liquid gasket sealer. My next thing is to come up with a way to get the vents(3) to close more or shut off completely to be able to r...
