I use this as a hydrophobic like damp rid and it works great

This Ice Melt left oily residue on the driveway and garage floor. It has dissipated mostly, but there was some residue that got on black mats that were in the garage and those stains have not faded. Would not recommend.

Bait and switch.

Went to local Lowe's to buy this specific ice melt because, unlike others, it's 100% pure calcium chloride. Lowe's website said 660+ in stock. Lowes employees know nothing so don't ask question

My wife insisted we need salt to melt some ice on the sidewalk and she was going to Lowes for other things. I told her to go to the water softener aisle and buy several bags of the cheapest salt in the aisle. Great product for pool water hardness

I bought this ice melt product for pool water hardness. I bought in the spring when it had already been top shelfed for the season. Thanks to Logan and Gustavo (Kansas City North Store at the Boardwalk) for being timely in securing a fork lift and getting the product for me. They were very efficient, friendly, and helpful.

Bait & Switch

I ordered 2 bags of Safe Step 7300. When I went to the store for curbside pickup, the guy brought out 2 bags of Winter Heat. Not what I ordered. I got a refund. I had read a couple of reviews here about that happening. I didn't think it would happen at my Lowe's in Danvers, MA. I was wrong. I'm very surprised that Lowe's would use deceptive practices like that. I have never had an issue with them before this.

"Winter Heat" Brand is junk

Wow, 300 characters? Ok, short review it is. The "Winter Heat" brand is junk; I suspect it is calcium chloride dihydrate and not anhydrous, as it is supposed to be; cost-cutting by the manufacturer. So, it doesn't generate its own heat upon contact with water. Lowe's should have caught this.

Cost-effective for roof ice melting

When we get a high snow winter like this year, along with roof raking this is my go-to for handling the miscellaneous ice dams that may form. It's simple, works well, I Use a short handled plastic scoop to pull it from a small bucket and spread it where needed.

Long lasting, not pet friendly

Works great, long lasting BUT don’t put it down where there are dogs or cats as it will burn paws. It might indicate that on the bag - didn’t check. It’s the first time I’ve used this and there’s never been a problem before, using regular rock salt.

The delivery was a week and a half late

I love my craftsman snowblower by Lowe’s 24 inches wide Briggs & Stratton engine from China. Great price great product thank you Lowe’s. Keep up the good work carrying a lot of different products heaters air conditioners, portable air. Conditioners variety is a big plus to choose from.
