I absolutely will not buy from CalHomes ever again

It came warped so the planks didn’t even fit together, it came with no pilot holes, so took FOREVER to install, and it’s claim of “takes minutes to install” is completely wrong. It took HOURS. Oh, and it didn’t even come with a door handle! The instructions were terrible, and barely made sense so we had to scrap them and figure it out for ourselves. Pathetic measurements

I purchased a 24” x 84” barn door from you all to replace a hung hinged door. I followed the instructions and put the door together and hung the new barn door. The installation revealed that the width of the door was only 22.5” wide and wouldn’t fully cover the 24” wide opening. I’m very upset and will have to take it completely apart to “fix” a manufacturing error on Lowe’s part.

Cute door. Poor construction.

I ordered the Colonial Maple door. When it arrived it was stained pumpkin orange! I had no time to return it and get a different door. Two coats of brown stain brought it closer to the golden color it was pictured in the listing. The door went together quickly, but the crossbar was cut too short. We had to raise the bottom base board to meet it, leaving a gap. Spacers for the rail are too short, so it does not clear the door frame. I will have to add spacers. Poor quality control!!

The color in the photos is not an accurate!!

Yikes!! This door is so orange! Don not buy unless you want a very orange door!! What was supposed to be easy is now a huge project for me.

Have a rubber mallet

Panels a little difficult to seat completely. Looks and works great once installed.

Good for the Price

This is not a beginner assembly. The clamps needed are not small or what the average homeowner would have on hand. The door did come together well and looks nice in the end. Be sure when you measure that you raise the hardware up at least 1/2" if you have carpet. Had to cut this amount off of the bottom of the door so it would not drag which meant a new bottom support had to be purchased.
