Stops the morning glare

These g-25 Bulbrite chrome top are perfect for the bathroom fixture over the sink. Unlike conventional globe bulbs (that’s what the “G-25” means), these really minimize the glare from the first light you expose your eyes to in the morning. The A19 are shaped more like a conventional bulb with the same effect.

Eliminates glare for an overhead fixture

Works okay for an overhead fixture. The fixture over my dining table is open on the bottom, i.e. the lightbulb 'bulb end' points down, and every other kind of bulb has created an unpleasant glare. The half-chrome is the only one that doesn't cause glare. It's a bit dim partly due to the chrome and partly to the low wattage (couldn't find a higher wattage) so we need other lights on in the room. One bulb in the set was non-functional when I got it home, which makes them even pricier. For now...
