The high setting for the fan is extremely loud.
Good fitment and finish. Needs additional pre drilled mounting holes. When the fan is in high, it is extremely loud.

Thin metal
Pretty & good lighting, but the metal is so thin. The first one arrived dented. The second came out of the package with scratches where it was held in place by the styrofoam.

nice upgrade on this hood vent
this Broan NuTone Ductless vent is really nice looking. switches are underneath instead of on top, bottom is covered by 2 filters making it look cleaner. love thev2 led lights, brighter than the standard bulb on other vents. fan has 2 modes. the usual noise is made.

recirculated option does nothing
not the best. Looks good. there are 2 options vented out or recirculated air. If you don't vent out it is worthless.

The 2 fan speeds are adequate for me.
I like the fit, 30" wide and finish (white) matched my kitchen well. Did not come with a power cord but I was able to use the cord from the old unit. There is only one knock out for the power cord on the top left side. Fortunately, my cord was long enough. It comes with 2 mounting brackets and I did need a third hand (my wife) to mark the bracket holes while I held the unit in place. Other than that I was able to install the unit by myself. Doesn't do much; at least in recirculation mide
It's honestly just terrible. This replaced an OTR microwave which had no problem removing grease/smoke. This range hood, it's really just a noise maker. Yes the recirc plate and sticker is removed but suction only occurs dead center with 99% of the smoke rolling out the front and gets blasted away
