Horrible Quality Control

Would Not Recommend

So many unusable pieces! They recommend adding 10% to allow for "breakage", but I'd say add 30% -- or more considering some of that will be unusable and not for breakage, but for the crappy pieces they include. I suppose if we cut and pieced we could get a little more, but we'd have a LOT of very short pieces slapped together. Pics show just some of the bad pieces in the single box we purchased. We'll be taking these and the rest of the unusable pieces back and asking for a credit.

Buy Select...Poor Quality Southern Oak here

Installed about 2,000 square feet of red oak flooring over the last 8 years in my house. Always got "select" unfinished from Menards and Homedepot. The biggest problem with those bundles was too many shorts, so I kept those aside for later. Fast forward to May 2021 and I needed to do about 200 sq feet. Bought 6 bundles from Lowes to mix with my remaining shorts. Lots of gray shading and fungi staining indicative of Southern oak. One bundle was so full of defects and staining that I couldn'...

Poor Quality

Would Not Recommend

Contractor picked up this order on my behalf and was not happy at all with this product. Too many were damaged (broken and splintered) and unusable and he can make a Lincoln squeal with his frugality. I do not recommend this item at all. Actually, I need to ask for a refund due to all the damaged material. Again, I do not recommend this product.

Okay for small jobs

Purchased this for small 3’ x 3’ landing on staircase. Smaller pieces were good, but longer ones were useless, as they were horribly warped. And be prepared with a table saw to rework the tongue and groove on some pieces. I’d suggest to make all cuts and lay out area first before nailing. Aside from the tongue and grooves sometimes not fitting properly, slight width variations will leave gaps. Stain and poly on finished work look great, but 30% of bundle ended up as kindling. Wouldn’t recommend ...
