Truly Horrible

After tax, this is a more-than $1,600 machine and it DOES NOT WORK straight out of the box. Altho the installers, maintenance techs, manuals, online forums and Bosch themselves assure me it is working exactly as designed. I will grant, it does all this (not working very well at all) quite quietly. Not only does this machine refuse to actually clean the dishes, it takes as much as 7 consecutive hours to do so—so long any allegations of "power saving energy star" certifications. Bosch Going Downhill

Bought this dishwasher (800 series) to replace the Bosch dishwasher we had only had for three years (800 series and THREE REPAIR visits in that time). This one is not even a year old and the water pump has gone out. This model is shorter and the configuration of the silverware basket makes it almost impossible to put bigger bowls and other into the lower rack. I have loved my Bosch dishwashers in the past, but my last two purchases have been duds. Won't buy again.

Impossible to load, hate it

Just got this and hate it already. Sure it's quiet, but it's impossible to load. The tines for plates on the bottom will only hold plates straight on one side. The other side holds them incorrectly, as if the tines don't line up. The silverware basket is short and the holes are too small. Can't fit anything but skinny handle silverware. Knives don't fit either. If you remove the basket top, you find the basket is too short, and open. No sections to contain things, just a big basket where...

Bosch Dishwasher 800 Series

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Bosch dishwasher for 16 years and I loved it! When it died, I replaced in with the 800 Series Custom so I would have the wood panel on the front that matches my cabinetry. The installer showed me that the dishwasher had to be lower than the old one, so when the door is open you see the top of the dishwasher and the bottom piece of wood would not fit, so now I look at the metal bottom of the dishwasher.

Water softening system essential with well water

We have hard well water and have replaced two dishwashers in 8 years (even while using descaler). Our water tests 425 PPM (4.3 mmol/l). I am impressed so far with the water softening system on this machine. No more film on glasses, cups and pots. Not as good as my kitchen aid I had previously

The only good thing about this dishwasher is that dishes generally get clean. The pull out trays are horrible for loading dishwater. The silly, tiny top drawer is useless and it makes the middle drawer so short not much fits into the middle drawer. Then the bottom drawer has horrible prongs in it for bigger

Outstanding Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most importantly, our Bosch Dishwasher cleans exceptionally well! On top of that it has been designed very well to facilitate loading and unloading. Lastly, it is very quiet!
