Bosch Glide 10-in 15-Amp Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Corded Miter Saw

Overrated

Don't trust the reviews that say this thing is small, lightweight, or easy to transport. It is bigger than my double bevel 12 inch sliding miter saw and weighs more too. I bought this to bring to the job site based on other reviews making false claims about how compact it is. There are already quality control issues out of the box. There are areas that don't seem to have been finish milled and areas where there is no finish, just raw metal.

Great saw

It was time to retire the old 10" delta side kick. I have the 12" slide saw for field work, being this new 10" is my shop saw it will work great. Was pretty good out of the box with minor adjustments, only real thing is it is heavy but will be ok a sit is mounted to the bench now.

Dust collection

The rubber flap should be lower to collect the saw dust. I have had my saw for a couple years, shortly after I purchased it I put some duct tape to extend the rubber flap and then removed the bag and place a vacuum hose to it…. Works great

A Great Mitre Saw!

I’ve had this saw for almost a year after using my entry-level no-name saw for a few years. Absolutely love the mechanism and the ability to have it close to the back wall. We purchased this saw and put it into service in a commercial luthier shop (custom guitar building business). We've seen a few reviews that mentioned setup accuracy issues from the manufacturer however ours was dead on accurate right out of the box and we suspect that those issues might be related to shipping handling after purchase. Good, Not Great

I had a problem with blade run-out that was caused by a defective flange washer that rests behind the blade on the arbor. I didn’t bother with Bosch warranty support because the part was inexpensive. I also had a problem with the upper sliding fence components tilting out of square when tightening the thumb screw that locks them in place. Great Design, Poor Execution

When I first saw this saw I had to have it. When I first played with the glide system at a wood show I had to have it. When I finally saved up enough money to buy it I got it. Poor Dust Collection!

I purchased this saw last Saturday and I've played with it for about 4 days now. So far it's very accurate and operated very smoothly. The 2 things I'm extremely disappointed with is the weight of the saw and dust collection is non-existent. Very little saw dust goes into the bag and when you finish making cuts the dust that collects in the dust port empties back on the work surface. Nice Saw

I teach Cabinetmaking at a high school in Virginia and use this saw a lot over the last few years but with teaching students to line up their cuts, a laser would be very beneficial. I installed an aftermarket laser but it runs on a watch battery that did not last very long, it would have been much better if Bosch designed it with a laser.
