What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this rotary hammer drill for exceptional power and durability, with most highlighting its ability to cut through concrete, brick, and tile with remarkable ease. Many complete demanding tasks like drilling 15-20 holes in thick concrete in minutes rather than hours. Reviewers consistently note the lightweight yet powerful design outperforms heavier competitors, and the included 4.0 Ah battery provides sufficient runtime for typical jobs. Customers express strong confidence in build quality and long-term reliability. A few report battery overheating or unusual noise, and some note the lack of a carrying case, though these issues are minor. Overall, most consider it exceptional value and highly recommend it.

I am always satisfied with the Bosch tools and this is no exception. Bosch makes good quality tools that last and make you job easier. I like the drill's robust construction and I know it will serve me well for many years to come. I sometimes have to pay a bit more for Bosch, but I know that in the long run it will pay for itself. I have several Bosch tools in both 18 and 12 volt and they all work very well.

Almost perfect
I bought this to remove some cement slabs around my pool to replace them with smaller pavers. Each section of slab is approximately 4 inches thick and I can drill an average of 15 holes before the battery dies (Bosch CORE 18V 4 Amp-Hour Lithium Battery) which is about 10 minutes. I feel like I should get more our of the battery than this considering I have to wait an hour for it to be recharged. The drill itself is outstanding and works perfect and I'm lucky that I'm not in a rush to get this...
Received my replacement tool
So the first tool bought new, first time I go to use it cuts out continues to cut out under any load. Changed batteries no change. For an SDS its an issue. Sent in the old tool to the manufacturer. they could not send me a new replacement, sent me a refurbished model. Brief test it worked under no load, did not get a chance to test under load, well until I needed it well it failed again same issue. cuts out under any stress. DO NOT BUY! Stuck with a Worthless tool now. Thanks Bosch!
Hi there! We apologized for the experience you had in using GBH18V-20N and receiving new which is reconditioned and for the continued issues you are ...
Low Performance
I have been using Bosche hammer drills for years. Though this isn't the bulldog, I was shocked that I am only able to average four quality holes before the battery is dead. I bought this one because I used another 18V, and was averaging nine holes per charge. Did I buy the wrong one? Regardless, four holes in one charge is pretty low comparatively. I am wishing that I had just bit the bullet and bought a 36V. If this model is for nothing more than casual drilling for DIY projects at home, ...

Continues to exceed expectations.
I picked up the rotary hammer as a free add on when I bought the Bosch Impact Driver and Drill set. I’ve been using frequently building a workshop in a section my basement that is unfinished. Drills into concrete floor and walls with ease. Cleanly drilled holes to receive tapcon masonry screws. My only complaint is that the Bosch SDS bits don’t last very long. I’ve been using dewalt SDS bits instead. But that’s not relevant to the drill performance. The battery had yet to die on me this thing is...
Excellent rotary drill
This rotary drill is an excellent drill for most concrete, brick, and block drilling. It is more powerful than the standard hammer drill and a good size that is not to heavy but performs like the larger rotary hammer drills. I purchased this because I have to drill for anchors quite often and so far this drill lives up to what I have come to expect from Bosch products. Lowes had them on sale and they came with a 4ah battery and charger for $129 plus tax. An excellent buy and I highly recommend t...

Shuts off
Just got this and I have drilled 1 hole. Looks like I have the same problem as minispeeder. I use it for about 5 seconds and it shuts off. Then I have to release and pull the trigger again and again and again. My hole is only 3/4 and 2 inches deep into concrete. I drilled a 3/8 pilot hole first too. The drill doesn't bind, grab, get stuck or get hot...it just shuts off...it's very strange. If I pull the trigger and don't drill into anything it stays on. I really wanted to like this thing...
Thank you for your review with regards to your experience with the GBH18V-20N Rotary Hammer. Shutting off within a few seconds is not normal. Our cor...
2 different tools, same leaking oil
Saw this drop down to $150 with a free 4ah and charger so I jumped on it. The first one came and was leaking oil from various spots along the seam between the front and back sections (black and blue). Against my usually practices, decided to give Bosch a second chance and reorder. The second one came in, and while not leaking quite as much, was still leaking oil, this time from the handle and battery compartment. I am returning this and moving on from this clearly poorly manufactured tool

Great Rotary Hammer Drill.
I was putting up an Porch Awning and I needed to drill 12 holes in my cement porch slab in order to anchor down the posts holding part of the awning up, the Bosch rotary hammer drill did the job with ease. I thought it might take some time to get all the holes drilled in the cement but to my joy I was done in less than 10 minutes! It cut thru the cement like a hot knife in butter. This was money well spent.

Nothing special about this tool.
I purchased this rotary tool thinking it was a great deal, but to my great disappointment I found out, upon opening the box, it came in a clear plastic bag. That's it, I asked my self??? No, battery with charger, no case, no drill bits, NOTHING, ZERO, NADA! JUST A PAPER WEIGHT! Well, I did further searching on Lowes and found a nice 18V compact rotary hammer, that comes with a case, but still no battery or charger. I guess that will do. Beggars can't be picky! Returning the paper weight.
