It's good for what I need it for. Pretty much what you would expect. I have nothing bad to say about it.

The Bulldog
Got 'her dun. I needed to drill a hole in a cinderblock and a brick. It was about one inch. I needed to stock a 1/2 PEX pipe in there for an outdoor faucet. I do my homework. I looked at the videos on YouTube. I researched some products. This is what I needed. I had seen videos of people doing a 1/4 inch hole first, then 1/2 inch and then finishing it up with the 3/4 inch, but I didn't want to buy all those drill bits. I only needed it for one job. But I was concerned about how this would perfo...
Bosch Bulldog 1/2-in x 12-in Alloy Steel Masonry D
Today 4/1/20, I purchased this Bosch Bulldog 1/2-in x 12-in Alloy Steel Masonry Drill Bit to make a 1/2 inch hole through a 8 inch concrete block wall. This drill destroyed itself. I used a battery powered drill at a slower speed. The so called carbide tip actually had pieces chip off during the drilling. This was not a hard concrete block. I can't believe thie carbide tip was this poor. I have other carbide drill bits that have never done this.
Great bit that stayed sharp.
I needed this bit to drill holes in concrete for installation of a safety cover for an inground pool. The process involved drilling 40 holes to a depth of 2 inches. I was worried after reading other reviews that the bit might dull before completion. I was pleasantly surprised that it stayed sharp and is still in excellent condition with plenty of life left for future projects.

Weak. It bent very quickly and lost its edge too. Today I ended up buying 3.

Quick and easy concrete drilling
Product worked great, had to put in a strip of concrete to build a new wall. Lowes had all the materials needed to do so. Drill but cut through the concrete no problem.

Masonary 1/2 inch bit.
This bit was dull and required a hole drilled before I could even use it. It would NOT start a hole and in fact, would not even drill until I used a 1/8 inch bit to make a starter hole. Not sharp was bent when taken out and did a poor job even WHEN I had drilled a starter.

DO NOT BUY...Very Disappointing!!!!
I bought this drill bit 2 weeks ago so I could drill 4 x 3/8" holes into my foundation and bolt down my gun safe. Unfortunately, this bit only drilled 1.75 holes before the tip rounded out and became ineffective. Now I have to find a bit from a different manufacture so I can finish drilling the other 2 holes. DO NOT BUY!

Not so good
I need to make swiss cheese out of my 4.5" concrete pool deck. The first three holes went reasonably well but that was it. That works out to $6.00 per hole. Nothing in the specs states you can't use the drill bit for this purpose. Wondering why other reviews refer to the durability of the drill bit? Not my experience, for sure.

THIS DRILL BIT WILL NOT STAY SHARP
WILLNOT LAST LONG ENOUGH TO DRILL A CONCRETE BLOCK, I NEED A BAG FULL TO START A JOB. I HAVE A TOOL BOX FULL OF DULL BITS, I HAVE TO USE THESE IN MY BUSINESS. I BUY 2 FOR EACH JOB WHERE I DRILL INTO CONCRETE TO INSTALL ANCHOR BOLTS. YOU COULD SUPPLY ME WITH SOME CONCRETE BITS, I DONT KNOW WHERE TO GET THEM SHARPENED. JIMMY ROGERS
