Don't do it!

We have had this microwave for about 8 months (purchased from Lowes, no issues there) and it is now completely dead, which is already a big problem. Dealing with Bosch customer service to get it repaired is also extremely frustrating. Very limited appointment times, wrong parts ordered or delivered, an appointment canceled at the beginning of the appointment window after already taking time off of work to be home. It sounds like they have 1 tech, who is only available 1 day a week in our area ...

Bosch OTR Benchmark Microwave control display

I just had it installed today so not sure how it is going to perform, but my issue is with the control panel, the thin protective cover was removed but it looks very "lumpy" is it normal or is it defective?

Get the extended warranty and protect yourself!

Our benchmark microwave is just over 1 year old and the vent panel above the control pad just fell off and almost broke our induction cooktop, which is also a Bosch applicance! We've had terrible luck with our benchmark diswasher and now our benchmark microwave. Now we're wondering if we'll have problems with our benchmark induction range/convection oven next. If you've already bought Bosch appliances, good luck. As for us, never again.

You pay for what you get!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave replaces a GE Profile microwave combination oven. It was good, but the Bosch Benchmark is a step above everything. The cook functions, reheat functions are way ahead of anything I've experienced. Along with this I replaced my whole kitchen as my appliances were fading fast. This is the first time I've purchased a Bosch and I will most definitely be a Bosch customer for life!

Control panel difficult to see w/o turning on over

The unit works fine; however, the control panel needs to be backlite. It's nearly invisible without turning on the overhead lights in our kitchen. I would not purchase again.

I do not recommend this benchmark microwave

Our previous Bosch microwave lasted almost 2 decades with a few minor repairs. It did have one major flaw though. The top cover (the bar which hides the filter) had to be replaced probably like 4 times. Until we duct taped it. Apparently Bosch stops providing parts, after an appliance has been on the market for 10 years. The plastic brackets were simply not able to take the heat and moisture. No, the screw were not over tightened. After the first incident, we were fully aware of that over tighte...

Good product - lousy service after the sale.

Yup, I'm a bit of a malcontent but we purchased this appliance from Lowes and they made the purchase easy - that's where the good times stopped DEAD. The store was unable to amend the delivery instructions so that thy would go to my wife and not me - I work 500 miles away from the delivery address (Lowes knew that).
