Drill into hard material and it stops. But wait, there's more Chuck failed after such and event and would no longer hold a bit of lesser diameter. Lowe's 90 day nonsense doesn't help either Had it about a year.

The light is just above the battery. It should be closer to the drill head like in their more expensive models
