Red Beefsteak Heirloom Tomato plants are indeterminate meaning they continue to grow and produce tomatoes all along the stems throughout the growing season
These large garden tomatoes are ideal for slicing and when fully ripe will show deep color and feel firm when gently squeezed
Red Beefsteak Heirloom Tomato plants mature late compared to other types and provide a fresh harvest in the latter part of the season
Heirloom tomatoes should be planted 36" apart while burying two-thirds of the stem to allow the plant to sprout roots along the buried stem so it is stronger and better able to find water in a drought
