I bought this brush when we previously lived in our first ever home. I instantly fell in love with the way it felt in my hand and how smooth the paint went on and stay where I intended it to be. I have very small hand and with other brushes that had long handles made it hard for me to control where the paint actually needed to go. Since then (2015) I have always bought this brush and today I am still using it since moving into our forever home (May 2018. My husband even knows when I say I need m...
The best for cutting in
I love this brush and those similar to it. The handle takes a little while getting used to but having it short enough to fit into the palm of your hand and somewhat flexible gives you a control that far surpasses what I get out of normal brushes. It's definitely something you need to try out. Some people love them and some hate them. I used one that was at the church I work at and I've always struggled with cutting in on projects when using standard wooden handled brushes and I've used quite a f...
Not what I was expecting
I had such high hopes for this brush after all the positive reviews. I have a MOUNTAIN of trim to paint at my house and got this brush to make the job easier. I do love the handle but the bristles go COMPLETELY haywire and I've had to start pulling a bunch of them out as I'm painting. Also, paint clumps up in this brush like you would not believe; they're like tiny little cotton balls everywhere. Some of those clumps eventually work their way down the brush and were getting on the trim and in my...
My go to brush for cutting in every time !
I am so glad I found this brush , I have been using these for 5 years or so. the flexable rubber handle is comfortable , the short handle is perfect when areas are tight. the angle is perfect and sharp. I have small hands and this is a good fit for me . I have a couple of girl friends that also use this brush and they agree it's there choice for cutting in. I feel like this brush makes me a better painter. and they last along time also. just take proper care of them. My FAVE.
blue hawk trim paint brush
I love these paint brushes and have used them for 10+ years. They are in my mind the best trim brushes on the market. I have tried many others but the angle the paint amount that it holds and the feel of the handle with a soft grip is superior to all the brushes I've used. I highly recommend these for any project. I tend to buy two at a time when doing new projects one for me one for the wife. Can also be used as a trim in on cornering and crown molding without tape nice even drag what the right...
Best brush for cutting in
This is the second one of these I've bought & I'll continue to use them for every painting project. I never need to spend time taping before painting & even getting into corners is easy. The handle is soft & rubbery and the design of the short handle means my hand never gets tired & it's easy to maneuver into small spaces. The first one I bought held up through dozens of uses, washes, & storage times in between projects before some of the outer bristles started getting stiff & breaking. For the ...
Where Did the Rest of the Handle Go?
Re: Short Handled Design. I am not sure how long this short handled version has been around. I do know its the first time I have seen it so naturally it piqued my interest. I took the brush down and held it to get the feel of it. I then assessed whether the short handle made it easier to use. These slant edged brushes already tilt so it is easier to "see" the line as you trim paint. I do not feel as if the short handle helps me although if I was painting in a small area the lack of handle length...
Excellent
We have painted every ceiling and wall in our house over the past year. I typically buy 1-2 brushes at a time, and if you rinse them out well in-between, they can be reused for multiple projects. I love the short handle, it gives a lot of stability and control, which is a must especially when trimming in the walls near the ceilings.
As a landlord who is consistently remodeling units as the tenants rotate out, each redo is never shy of a great deal of painting on the to-do list. This brush allows for the cleanest lines to where i feel no need to use trimming tape. The bristles stay intact and it is absolutely one of the easiest cleans for any brush I use in between coats/color changes. Also, the price is great being i purchase so many of them.
great comfortable brush
I've painted many a home in my day as a busy, well traveled Military spouse & mom. Through the years, I have found that I love to have a short, soft cut-in brush such as this for painting the sides and corners. This one is perfect, good price, paints cleanly and is working well for multiple paint days as I redo my 30' vintage travel trailer.
