Great for whatever!

The recommendation said two starter sticks to get going. Though, I only used one with success. Simple product, but it does great. They burn for approximately 10-15 min

Easy and Effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Following the directions included in the box, I put two pieces of the Fatwood in an X shape at the bottom of my wood stove. I used some old newspaper to start the fire and these sticks lit right up. Waited a few seconds and added seasoned hardwood on top and voila, roaring fire that heats the house. Recommend!

Really Handy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using these to start the fire in the wood stove in my shop. Since I am only out there at random times, usually the previous fire has completely gone out. I take one of these, and split it in to several smaller pieces and build a "pyramid" that I can put other small pieces of wood around. The pyramid starts with one match, and I quickly have a good fire in the stove, so I can go on to other stuff.

Easy Firestarter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these and opened the box and found what appeared to be dried pine chunks. Didn’ looked like wood and smelled like pine. But when I used them they lit instantly and easily and stayed lit. I used them to start a fire to burn yard debris and has never had such an easy time.

Great Product

The temperatures here in North Eastern Indiana dropped to perfect for campfires and bonfires. I love the Fatwood for starting my fires. They make this job which is sometimes less than fun very much fun and easy. Not only can use the entire stick but I sometimes shave them for a small fire.
