Poor Paint Quality / Giant Sticker

After getting the product home we noticed the paint bubbled and several imperfections in the metal construction - i.e. bumps, dents and general imperfect edges. We also did not want to advertise for the manufacturer "Better Built" but removing the 18" wide sticker required 30 minutes of cleanup with goof off and scouring the residue off of the box!!

It serves the purpose well

I always enjoy shopping at lowes, great service and neat and clean stores. As for the product I bought, four days after purchase I seen a Job-Site brand tool box for a $100.00 less. That's why I give it a 3 star rating.

Not as good as it looks

I brought it to my garage and stored tools etc. in it. I installed two padlocks. It was tight to lock them which is part of the security so that people can not easily access the locks. I left town for the weekend and when I got back it had been broken into. The metal isn't super thick and they drilled through the top to see the locking rods for the locks. A cold chisel to cut the eye that held the lock and then a pry bar to bend pull the lock out of the eye. It took a while but as it was inside ...

Leaks and poorly constructed

Made in Mexico. Mine was all warped up and not welded at the middle handle seams. I have to caulk it well at the seams and other places because it is not well constructed. Also I forgot the keys one day and in 40 seconds my buddy was in with a quick trick to easily open the box with the locks still on. So this is just a junk box for the cash. It's thin guage is not good either and already the lid is smashed in by people sitting on it. I will have to modify to beef it up more. Paint already comin...

Military Move

Our house sold while Husband deployed in one day, surprise I am packing Husbands shop and archery &Fishing gear to put in storage. The Warner Robins, GA store was very helpful and ordered these boxes and placed casters on bottom as I requested.It made the move much easier and more organized. Better Built Jobsite Box 48"

I bought my first one in 2004 for my Refrigeration Service Truck and fit in sevice bed perfect. I sold the truck and all to my brother for his Trucking Company Repair Truck in 2006 he used the the box to secure large tools. He tahn sold truck and box to my nephew for his electrical company in 2010 and he still uses it. It's still in excellent shape. I am fixing to purchase one for my flat bed at the end of May 2012. You can't get a better deal on that quality.
