I just spread two 5 gallon buckets of this stuff on the roof of a mobile home. All these reviews were helpful so I want to add my 2 cents. Mixing...I bought a long steel paddle mixer from Menards n put in my plug in heavy drill. No battery powered drills for this. Plug it in n use a heavy duty paddle mixer. Still takes 10 minutes or so of non stop mixing to get it ready. The alumninum is in a sludge type base at the bottom of the bucket. Take your time mixing at all levels. Top middle n bottom. ...

I think it is generally a good product. Does as stated. Adds life to roof. The roofer said to put silver seal on and the the roof will outlast you. Thus far it has done pretty well. It is a flatish 3600 sf roof that was installed in 2004. We had one leak this past winter, but we think it is a flashing issue an took care of it with the patch and another coat of Silver Seal. Works well for my application!

I have two galvanized metal tops on my free standing chimneys that were in need of resurfacing. The whole tops were very rusty. First I rough sanded them (not down to the metal). A few thoughts: **You don't need a contractor, you got this! 1) This stuff takes a while to mix, so I would recommend buying a paddle mixer. It's thick, and would be rather difficult to turn over by hand. 2) I got this stuff all over me. Regardless of how careful you are, it will inevitably splatter. I would strongly suggest using heavy duty gloves, wearing long pants, and a long, thick shirt-all of which you will throw away when finished. Be Peepared

The key to this product is to be prepared. First buy at drill powered stirrer or you will be worn out before you start. Second buy sacrificial clothes...overalls and long sleeve t shirt and SHOES...to wear. Next buy a box of latex gloves and put them on first. I compared pretty much every roof coat you can possible imagine and decided on this one. For me it wasn't a matter of the best, it was the easiest that works well.
