Not quite 10 feet of fabric

Seems sturdy, easy installation with two people, decent price. We'll see how it does on windier days. Only complaint is that the fabric of our 10 foot awning is only 9' 4" wide. The 10 feet include the support mechanism. Not a huge deal but not what I expected. I expected the fabric to be 10 feet wide and the device to be 6 - 10 inches longer overall.

Lack of quality control

Mine came with a bunch of metal shavings everywhere,have to be careful they don't drop at your eyes during installation.missing and stripped bolts from cover.the crank was hitting the bracket so had to tear apart and rotate the shaft counterclockwise.arms flange are resting on one bolt only"pic" thanks lord im an industrial mechanic.

Best Bang for your Buck

First of all, there ARE brands available that are about half the price of this one BUT Awntech quality and the fact that Awntech units are shipped factory pre-assembled makes this one (IMHO) the best buy. Most of the other cheaper brands come unassembled and most of the online reviews say it's confusing at BEST to assemble these complicated mechanisms. After reading the reviews I chose to go the pre-assembled path. Glad I did too because prefessional installation took only two hours at $100/h...
