Fully functional and actually looks not bad !!!!!!
The look feel and finish were satisfactory, especially for the price paid. Although I had read other reviews and knew the escicheon or backing plate would be a “brushed nickel” like plastic, I was expecting it to be far worse than it actually looked and felt. The actual handle of the control valve is metal and as such feels solid. All in all, compared to 2-4 times more expensive alternatives it gets the job done for a decent price.

Plastic Escutcheon
I specifically bought this thinking it featured a metal escutcheon. I’m not sure what the point of a plastic one is except to give to children playing pretend house construction. This isn’t anything like today’s faucets using modern polypropylene water lines, this is flimsy junk that doesn’t belong as a permanent house fixture. Now I have to buy a separate metal one for another twenty dollars.

Item never specified you need to purchase rough in assembly that the valve goes into, so this is just the valve and trim package. Even in manual it doesn't give you the rough in part # that goes with this kit.
