Tile is chipping on corners
I was very excited to use this tile in our bathroom remodel. I chose it over other big box stores as Lowes had it in stock. I wish I had gone with another store! We installed the tile around and under our toilet first. After it was grouted I noticed some chips on edges of the tiles. Where it chips it is very clearly brown. Upon inspecting the other box of tile we had bought only 4 of the 12x12 pieces in the box had no chips. The color and glaze on the tile does not wrap around the edges to ...
1928 Budget Renovation
When renovating our 1928 bathroom this mosaic tile became the cornerstone we built the design around. I wanted to use a white and black color scheme with subway tile in the shower and a hex tile on the floor. This mosaic hex is less than half the price of other designs and allowed us to stay in budget and have a quality bathroom while keeping in mind our neighborhood and resell value (we did not need to spend $6+ per square tile). Our contractor had worked with this Sausalito tile before and kne...
Requires tolerance
I have a small bathroom, so I only needed 30 sq. ft. including roughly 4 sq. ft. extra. I'm glad I purchased these extra squares because half of one box contained broken tiles. Luckily I was able to use portions of the broken tiles in the areas that required cutting, but I was disappointed. Also, I read many reviews on this tile before I purchased it, and the one thing that is certain, the tile spaces are NOT CONSISTENT. This was a bit difficult for me since I like things to be very symmetrical,...
very forgiving
Used this vintage look mosaic tile in a newly added basement bathroom. The floor was not exactly level,1950, slop to center floor drain. We marked off the 10x 6 bathroom area , framed it out, poured the self leveler. Needed to raise floor 2-1/4 inches. Still not totally level, but in this utilitarian bathroom, these mosaic tiles were perfect!!!! Using a little heavier amount of thinset here and there , these tiles were so easy to accomplish a near perfect level floor on an originally not so leve...
Nice Tile
Purchased this tile for the creation of a 1910 style bathroom - clawfoot tub, marble sink, etc. and I'm very pleased with the results. I installed it myself, and unlike some tile products I've used in the past, I found these tiles more accurately positioned on each sheet. I really like that they were held in place with rubber/latex spots rather than nylon netting - much easier to cut and separate without the netting sticking up out of the joint, and less likely for the small tiles to move around...
Love it!
We have put this tile in two different homes, and will be using it in a third very soon. It makes for a beautiful bathroom floor. We use an oyster (gray) colored grout, which really makes the tile pop. It is very durable and has never scratched. Easy to install with the mesh backing. I cannot say enough about this tile. You won't regret the purchase.
Kitchen backsplash!
I was looking for a tile that would be easy for a novice to put up but also had a fair amount of pattern to break up the monotony in my kitchen. This worked perfectly! I would say the difficulty level was a medium making cuts to the small pieces was a challenge but the overall product is very forgiving of our errors. Overall I am very please with the finished product especially for the price!
Basic Mosaic Tile That Serves Its Purpose
This tile met my needs for bathroom flooring. It would look better if I chose a darker grout. I used a grey colored grout in attempt to make the tiles pop more, but I went too light. Two of the square foot tiles have a few pieces that are a different color white. Not terribly noticeable, but good to look out for so you can place them where they're not visible, like under the sink. This is decent tile that could be enhanced with the right shade of grout. I had this installed by an independent con...
Dream Bathroom
My husband and I gutted our kid’s bathroom and redid it using this tile with dark grout as the focal point. So far, it’s been about 6 months of heavy usage and we love it. It was a little difficult to grout initially because there are so many grout lines, but the hard work paid off.
Classic look
We recently installed this tile in our remodeled bathroom with a dark grey grout. It looks like it was installed when the house was built (the 1930) which was our goal, something not too trendy and something that would be timeless. My one complaint is that it is really hard to keep it looking clean. It’s very white and any hair shows up like a sore thumb.
