Chinese evergreens are great, easy-care foliage plants for beginning plant parents and more than radiant enough to satisfy demanding houseplant aficionados. As it name suggests, Aglaonema 'Beauty' is a stunningly beautiful houseplant, a leafy canvas of pink-heavy patterns. No two leaves are precisely alike; the pink varies in intensity, sharing the stage with green and creamy yellow. Attached to short stems, the large rounded glossy leaves taper to soft points. This variegated wonder opens up a world of possibilities for pairing with decorative pots or other home décor elements. Native to shady and humid Asian tropical forests, Chinese evergreens such as Aglaonema 'Beauty' are slow-growing plants suitable for medium to bright, indirect light. They will tolerate low light but will show off the best, brightest color in bright, indirect light. They enjoy consistently lightly moist soil, but like many, many houseplants, they’re not fans of waterlogged soil. Water again when the top couple of inches of soil are dry. Average household humidity doesn't match that of an Asian tropical forest, so a couple of ways to make your Aglaonema 'Beauty' feel at home: use a humidifier, mist the leaves, place the plant on a pebble tray, or group with other plants. Rarely blooms as a houseplant.
