Good overall, but some problems

While many of the boards are in good shape, there are quite a few that are not usable, either due to chip-out on the sides, cracking on the ends, or worst of all, width and/or thickness differences. Before cedar prices went sky-high some months ago, it wasn't a big deal, but now at nearly $5 a board, one needs to select boards carefully.

I ordered 15 cedar 6" x 8' fence pickets, for curbside pick up. When I got home and unloaded them I was disappointed to see that a third of them were split. I live about an hour's drive away from Lowe's so it was not convenient to return them to the store for exchange.

Perfect for my project

Using these for a rustic look interior project and it turned out great. No splits or unsightly knots to deal with.

Good quality. Low price.

8ft pickets are straight and solid. Actually 6in wide, compared to others that are 5.6 inches.

Used to replace fence gate - worked well and looks great.

Pretty good fence boards

I wish these were a little thicker but they work just fine as is. Most of the boards I found were pretty good quality. Some were too knotty for my tastes. But like any wood product you have to sort through the stack to get good material.
