Ridge vents are a type of attic exhaust vent that make up half of a balanced attic ventilation system for each roof. Intake vents make up the other half of the system. Together they help remove any built-up heat and moisture inside the attic for year-round ventilation. Ridge vents install at the peak to provide continuous exhaust airflow horizontally along the roof. Their low profile makes them nearly invisible from the ground. Use the Lowe's calculator to determine how many linear feet of ridge vent is needed per roof.

Do not buy this product unless gauge increased

Would Not Recommend

Very thin gauge of material, not really suitable for a roof ridge. Box and contents arrived mangled/crushed.

Metal Roof Venting Improved

Would Recommend

Added it to my metal roof ridge cap. Existing vents under the metal roof ridge cap became clogged. Cut vent slots into existing ridge cap, painted and installed the new ridge cap on top of the existing cap. Worked perfectly, allowing heat to escape.

Would not use again

Would Not Recommend

Product is cheap in price but flimsy. Rubber end caps are not ideal for long term sealing.
