Cheaply made

1st packaging flimsy, box was crushed on arrival, item was dented in several places. Item is made cheap, plastic parts underneath cannot see it holding up in high wind prone areas, Sent wrong color, item is being returned.

Excellent purchases with excellent results

Wonderful.I am a seasoned citizen Recently,there was a storm passing through that damaged my roof turbine.I thought it had to be replaced but my grandson checked it out (physics teacher ) not contractor)He told me what to order and also bought a drill kit from you also excellent fixed quickly and good as new.

Go to a store and purchase or will come damaged.

Ordering process was easy. However once they arrived, by fed ex the boxes were bent automatically I was Leary of what I’d find inside damage! Well they were damage. Fins were bent. the aluminum frame that mounts to roof was the worst of the damage. What I think the main problem with this item is the cardboard carton they come in is inadequate for single shipping by fedex they are to rough with the packages and I feel they probably caused the damage on their transportation of this product.

Works great

Have these on my house, any little wind it spins. The one on my garage never spins,well almost never. With AC in my garage with 10' ceiling.i could feel the heat in the attic trying to penetrate through. The one on the garage was bought at Menards, so didn't want to buy a other from Menards it was brown turbine. Besides Menard would not ship! Internal parts made of plastic...

As with everything in the world these days.. the "Internal bracing" inside this turbine is made of PLASTIC... which will invariably last about 2-3 years and then crack/break in the intense UV light and heat of the sun in California. The old turbines I have on my house are all metal.. and 25 years old, and still spinning away. Why would a manufacturer make something that sits in the sun 24/365 out of plastic unless they expect it to break and then you have to buy another much ...

Overall good, but was missing one essential part

The two units we purchased were what was advertised and were received in good condition. They were also easily installed and are functioning properly. Everything was good except for one significant issue - one unit was missing one of the securing nuts in the parts pouch that came in that box. The other unit had everything. Expect it to arrive slightly damaged.

Fits ok, but needs to be assembled. However, both vents I received were damaged on the bottom. The box is very flimsy, and has no foam support or padding, the unit is just sitting on the bottom of the cardboard box, and since they are very light, less than 1 pound, the boxes are probably thrown around a lot by handlers. But it's aluminum so hammers back flat fairly easily. I don't know that any other make/model would arrive in any better shape.

Perfect Replacement

This was an exact replacement for a 25 year old warn-out vent fan. It comes with a new base but fit perfectly on the original one. Some parts are now plastic but this is the 21st century. Remember bearings and grease are new and tight so it will not spin as easily as older ones on your roof.
