The Metropolis Floor Lamp is a sleek, contemporary style with a dramatic black nickel finish and elegant frosted glass bowl shade. An Adesso patented 300 Watt Double Socket construction allows for two crisscrossed sockets, each holding on/off 150 Watt incandescent or LED bulbs which provides approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the shade cup to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Bulbs are not included. NOTE: Use incandescent bulbs up to 150W or dimmable led bulbs (DO NOT USE: 3-way bulbs or CFL’s). We recommend using incandescent bulbs for best results achieving both settings of 50% brightness and 100% brightness with no flicker. When using LED bulbs, it is common to see some flicker on the low setting (high setting will always have no flicker). A dimmable LED will minimize the low setting flicker, but may still occur.

Lightbulbs hard to find

Nice looking lamp but I should have read the specs better. It requires 150W incandescents which are not sold at Lowe’s and most other stores. I tried several variations of dimmable LEDs that it suggests but the two brightness settings of the lamp do not work with those. Finally found 150 incandescents but they are so big you can see them poking out of the top of the lamp due to the angle of the bulb base within the lamp. This lamp should be removed from Lowe’s inventory and discontinued in my op...
