Temperature not accurate below 68 deg F.
I am in the commercial HVAC business. Several of my medical customers with operating rooms have purchased these to set in the operating rooms. When the space is at 70 deg F or higher, the Acurite is right on. As the room temperature is brought down below 68 deg F, the Acurite begins to lag a bit above temperature. It absolutely won't show any lower than 66 deg F, even with a room temperature of 62 deg F. I have verified this with multiple thermometers. I believe that the heat from the internal e...
Nice big numbers!
Our hvac and water are in a closet outside our condo so we have to turn the portable heat on the wall in the closet. We put it in the have room to monitor the warmth in the closet before we turn on the heater. Just open the door to see temperature. No more tiny thermometer to see what temp is. So far working out great.

Works Great Until It Doesn't.
I ordered two of these to use for my reptile enclosure, but within a matter of a few months the displays have almost completely gone out. Before they went out, everything worked great. However, they are now unreadable. I am disappointed that this is evidently enough of a problem that both of mine went out. Will not purchase again.

This thermometer is always the same as the thermostat for the HVAC system. Highly recommend.

Display not working after 7 months
I like the design and the read out. However, after 7 months of indoor use the display segments on the lower left no longer work. Therefore the temperature is not reading out.
