I installed this system about a month ago. It seems to work fairly well, but there is no customer support, so you are on your own if you run into problems. My install was delayed two weeks waiting for an elbow for the bottom of the evaporator, which is used to drain condensate when the unit is operating in heat pump mode. So, I waited two weeks only to find that the elbow cannot be installed if the unit is installed on a slab, as it extends past the bottom of the evaporator. It can only be i...
Runs Awesome
I have had this running non-stop in TX heat since June, its been 100+ every day this summer, it is September now. It has been running like a champ, I am a bit worried about how much it has been running, it keeps all 340 sq feet cool, even inside the bathroom. It never shuts off. The install was easy enough. The hole you have to put in the wall is a little larger than the little plastic thing they give you to go around the piping. And it is hard to get the piping behind it, if you choose to have ...

Horrible Customer Service
I purchased the mini split unit from Lowe’s and it was delivered with no problems. I had a professional contractor install the system but noticed cool air would not produce. So I had a HVAC technician come check out the system and he stated the compressor was bad and that’s why no cool air would produce. I have called AUX numerous times but always get “the person at extension ……is on the other line”. No matter how many times I call I always get that message. I tried emailing numerous times ...

So far, so good
I hate the idea of reviewing something before it’s been used for a while, but Lowe’s sent me a link and I figured I could update it later. We used this unit to replace the 3rd window unit in as many years that we put in our shed/craft room. They window units just can’t keep up with the FL heat and they crap out while still under warranty. The trick is that GE has the worst warranty ever and makes you jump through hoops to try and get your unit replaced. You will have to put out money for yet ano...

Potential combustion Beware beware beware
Do not buy.. beware beware beware I purchased this brand new and had a professional install it. As soon as he turned it on it almost caught fire. Smoke everywhere. If we didn't turn it off as fast as we did it almost certainly would've caught fire. After it cooled down, the guy opened it up and we should see refrigerant spilled out everywhere. Clearly some sort of defect in the unit. I have a high confidence level that it was installed correctly as the technician was very knowledgeable and took...
Nearly 2 Years of Suffering
I bought this unit and installed it in October of 2020. It was charged with the task of managing a relatively small space of ~550sqft. In less than a month of operations it showed an F1 fault. Upon contacting a repair specialist, it was reset and the refrigerant was recharged to correct pressure. The fault would return throughout the winter. We paid more than $400 in repairs to this product over the last 2 years in parts, labor and it consistently would not operate for more than a month before s...
Major issue with packaging and shipping.
These units are a great option for someone to install a mini split themselves. They are a good value and work well but good luck getting one delivered that isn’t damaged. I’ve now purchased 7 units in order to get 3 that are usable but even those has some damage. I’ve had them delivered to home and to store and the boxes come in bashed up having been dropped multiple times damaging the delicate fins, the valves which connect the line set and the line sets themselves. The line sets are packaged o...

Not working properly
I purchased this unit for my elder mothers casita. It has been problematic since the get go. It seems like a good economic purchase at first until you spend a few hundred dollars in additional parts to make the unit functional and then $500 more for a licensed HVAC person to install it. The overall investment was a lot more $$$ then I wanted. It also needs a dedicated electrical outlet so I had to pay for electric work as well. To top all of that off the unit had a bad sensor and or main board b...
surprisingly nice
I'm not sure where to start as this unit surpassed all my expectations. QUIET, no vibration from either unit, did I say quiet? Installation on the other hand could be all kinds of things. I'm a retired auto tech. and did lots of AC work so things went very well. I did speak with a local hav/ac company and they were kind of rude and wanted $100.00 an hour each and required two people. So as I said install could go many ways but I felt the instructions and install were pretty easy. Did ...

It gets cold!
This mini-split system has been a great investment. It provides efficient heating and cooling with minimal noise, and the 17 SEER rating helps keep energy costs low. Installation was manageable with clear instructions, and the remote control makes temperature adjustments convenient. It quickly cools or heats the space and maintains a consistent temperature. A great option for targeted climate control.
