I had the AO Smith whole house filter installed along with a new hot water system and water softener 18 months ago. We are snow birds and are starting our second winter of use of this system. The filter started leaking slightly this past summer while we were up north. Now that it went through the hot summer in Phoenix, it is leaking slowly but steadily. Just got this filter. looks well made. installation is really easy. so far so good.

do your home work ....easy install
No problems went together well. I did a loop install and by passed using the supplied shut off. Look inside your box! You can use the shut off and they supply you with the needed union fittings.
