Loud / Heat Exchanger Leak / Deceptive Warranty
We purchased this unit online June 2020 and had no issues for almost 6 years. A few months ago, we noticed a small drip from the dirt leg. Upon inspection by a certified plumber, it was determined that there was a leak in the heat exchanger. The plumber worked this issue through with A.O. Smith on the phone and A.O. DO NOT BUY
Do not buy. It never worked. The hot water charges to cold mid use. The company do not want to get it back or help. Lowe's washes their hands and tells you to call the manufacturer. I got the 5 years warranty that it's useless. They do not allow you to return it.
