Beware
I found this on the site but the store said I couldn't get it for few days. It was $525. but the store sold the same heater and it cost me almost $900. So when I received the email receipt it quoted the original $525 heater specs and mfr product number. So, why did I have to pay more?????? at the store for the same product.

don't buy AO water heaters
We bought this water heater to replace an AO water heater we had a plumber install less than three years ago. When we asked to have it replaced they said they would replace the burner which codes were telling them was the bad part, with no guarantee that it would solve the issue...no hot water. As a landlord that wasn't good enough. We were in a pinch and bought another AO. Now that our tenant has hot hot water again, we will investigate other water heaters and water heater suppliers.

TLDR. If anything goes wrong with this heater be prepared to uninstall and take back to Lowes. Ao smith customer service is non-existent. This water heater was selected as a replacement for the same model that was 8 years old(not great). But it made this an easy drop-in replacement without moving the location of the recirculation plumbing. Unfortunately, there was a giant gas leak at the factory connection between the valve and the burner. I had previosuly checked all of my connections...
