Where a contractor installed this forester replace our existing tank water. Just after install we had error E02, contractor thought it was set too high so we turned it down. Utter Junk. Bit Twice
Bought the first one. Worked for less than a year, leaked internally somewhere. AO provided return authorization. Second unit was broken out of the box, leaked internally also and wouldnt heat water. The second was a Lowe's "Special"...returned by someone else and put back on the shelf. The manual was folded open to the troubleshooting section. Didn't realized that until it was installed. I bought one to install at a client's house while he was out of state. I installed it, and it worked fine, but since the client wasn't home, the water heater sat unused for three months. Instant heat
I thought my plumber could install the new electric cable etc but I need an electrician so it takes more time. My waterheater was just replaced instead of the instant heat....which is still a dream if mine. Nothing was wrong. I need to plan for it rather than doing it when your tank has busted.
