DO NOT BUY – Terrible Product & Customer Service We purchased this AO Smith water softener from Lowe’s, and it has been nothing but a nightmare. Within a year, it started releasing salt into our pipes, making our drinking water unbearably salty. On top of that, the unit began leaking non-stop through the drain pipe 24/7, wasting water and racking up extra costs. When we reached out to AO Smith’s customer service, they were completely unhelpful—instead of fixing the issue, they just kept sending...

I liked how easy it is to install and operate. On the other hand I wish the top slide access was a little better so dirt or dust from my workbench didn’t get in it.

Very easy install and set up! Do not hire anyone to do this for you. Not needed at all. Get unit with built in home filter vs buying additional external whole home filters.

Softener with integrated filter - one unit
We were looking to replaced a 7 year old unit. Important to us to have softener and filter in one unit. Not two units. Only replaced because small hole in plastic housing. Wish the housing was fiberglass.
