The water heater is performing as expected, installed yesterday. The remote control feature (WiFi) is useless so far. Trying to set up the app has been unsuccessful, the QR code scan doesn't work, and manual entry just leads to a message to call customer service. So far, I cannot recommend for the premium I paid for advertised features

Worst Ever
This thing failed the first month I had it. AO Smith wouldn't pay to have an actual plumber come out to fix it. Just gave me parts and told me I had to put the replacement elements in myself because the warranty won't cover labor. Even after getting the elements replaced it still works intermittently. I have to keep turning it off and on to get it to work. Do not buy this piece of junk.

WiFi not compatible
I bought this so I could use the app remotely and it’s not compatible with WPA3 which is what my wifi is. It would’ve been nice to know this before hand.

Great water heater, highly recommended
Great water heater, highly recommended. all thought I had to replace 2 original water heaters in my home in May/June of 2023 and I bought 2 signature 500 series. Exactly one year later the new A.O.smith water heater was leaking at the bottom so I went through the 15 year warranty and replaced it. Hopefully I will not have the same issue from the 2nd A.O.smith water heater I bought (fingers Crossed). Still working on the refund for removal and installation of the replacement.

i am building a bathroom in the basement. i have just now put the water heater in service even though i bought it last year. i also put the wife a wallk in tub in the new bathroom. thanks for the wonderful product.

I. Bought it over a year ago. Works good. I will like to have more options in the app. For example: have the option of multiple schedules during the day with different water temperature for different issues like shower or dishwashing etc.

I've had this water heater for less than 90 days and it continues to not work intermittently. The upper and lower elements keep turning off and it doesn't do the one thing its designed to do. I contacted AO Smith's warranty tech support and was told that I had to somehow check the voltage on the unit myself before they would send someone out to see why it wasn't working and to fix the issue. Ridiculous. What is the point of having a 12 year warranty if they won't honor it? Of course, Lowes has a...
