Beware this product
Bought in 2021. Replaced both heating coils and expansion tank was advised only parts now covered in warranty. Expansion tank - not covered its outside the unit and the two heating elements that I was charged $175 each they only covered and $56 dollars each. Scam warranty poor product.

I’m using it 3 days and very happy, the only issue is the drain valve leaking when I flushed some water.

Upgrade
I purchased the water heater in June of 2024. I had additional work to do before doing a complete install. As of 8/1/24, I currently have it sitting on a custom stand. I can't wait to get the water heater completely hooked up.

AO Smith doesn't Honor Warranty
My AO Smith leaked and flooded my basement. It was connected to a soft-water unit and failed 6 years with a 7 year warranty. Each customer service gave me different stories and quotes. Luckily I held on to the bad hot water heater and had to peel off the clear sticker, include the 6 year receipt and finally I received a check of $385
