Nice Lamp - Installation Options Not As Expected

I bought this lamp assuming I could use just one of the two 6" rods for installation. Found that the minimum length would be with one of the 12" rods because only one of those is designed with female threads on both ends which is needed to connect the light to the base. With considerable force I found that I could remove the treaded adapter from the end of a 6" rod to convert it to female/female for installation. This worked but I scratched the rod even though I took precautions to avoid that. T...

Needed to fix a light fixture

Awesome item to cover the light bulbs on my light fixture. Just wish the insides weren't scratched. I loved the design and it was the only ones left at the store when I needed them!

Watch what you buy.

When I got these home, they would not fit. The wire cage extended too far into the grooved area where the ceiling fan attaching screws fit. I returned them. I found the same item at another Lowe's store that fitted. Another example of poor quality control by the manufacturer.

Doubly great if you're clumsy like me

I bought 2 of these to replace some blah, too-frilly shades and was too lazy to get the stepladder out, so I stood with one foot on a chair an the other on the toilet cover. I was skeptical that the width of two of these would fit with my tiny fixture so I was test fitting one while I left one of the old shades on the fixture. I couldn't quite reach the rear screw so my hand slipped and this shade went down fast and hard - it bounced in and and out of the sink, against the toilet, and then bounc...

I used these to upgrade some cheesy oak vanity lights in my bathroom. I antiqued the wood on the fixtures and changed out the glass with these lights. The upgrade is gorgeous and cost so little! The lights are a bit pricey, but not in perspective with having to buy a new fixture and hire an electrician to take out the old one and put in the new one.

These provided a nice match to a ceiling light i also bought at Lowes.

Like getting two globes for one price

This glass globe is beautiful. Since it comes with the wire addition that can be removed it is like having two design options for the price of one glass globe. Great value!
