Final touches on the kitchen and the delicate purple 3M tape pulls of 2+ layers of paint after caulking. Extremely disappointed with this painter's tape! Not only did it fail to stick properly, but it also peeled off chunks of paint from my walls, leaving behind a mess and more painting! Left on for barely two hours not even close to the 60 advertised. Definitely not worth the hassle or the damage it caused.

This tape is crap. It allows paint to bleed through and it tears easily when removing. I do not recommend this product.

Works great!
This tape works great when used properly. I always prime my surfaces first, apply two coats of paint, and wait at least 2 days before using. Never had a problem with paint coming off. Those who complain paint did come off likely did not do the required preparation, or painted on previously-painted drywall that had not been primed.

Don't trust it
When a "delicate surface" tape damages a surface that I wouldn't consider delicate? Not good at all. It ruined my desk and a cabinet. The tape is supposed to be safe up to 60 days I believe, and the tape was only on for seven.

Pulls paint off!
I used this tape when I was painting an accent wall. The tape did very well, as far as ease of use and removal, however, when I pulled the tape away the next day, the paint came away from the edge as well. I will go back to using the regular painter's tape, as this was disappointing.

Great disappointment.
I am applying the tape on all the baseboards, trim around the windows, etc. before painting the walls. I am trying this "safe-release" tape for the first time. It does not work any better than the other tapes! The baseboards, etc had been painted about 4 days ago and the paint is definitely dry. Had checked to see if the painted surfaces were okay after trying to remove the tape and it has removed paint.

3M Safe-Release Delecate isn't worth the price
I purchased the product to complete painting trim. Even though the paint on the wall was more than a week old when the tape was removed it still pulled paint requiring additional painting of the wall. Note that Frog tape delecate surface (yellow tape) did not damage the walls.
