THIS is the stuff you want to use to seal ductwork. The tape can be easily made to conform to irregular surfaces. The adhesive is thick and aggressive, causing the tape to stay where it is applied.

I used this tape to seal the seams for foil insulation. It may not have been the intended purpose for this product but it was perfect. I might have wished for the same product without the 3-M advertisement because it's in a visible area and does not match my foil.
