Average quality with finish issues
The newel post had a bit of a rough finish, especially around the ball on top. I bought three for my project and one of them had filled flaws that really didn't show until it was stained. Quality was only average.

Don't order it online, this item was not shipped
Don’t order it online — the item was never delivered. My project was delayed, and I ended up buying a second one in-store. I'm now waiting for the original shipment to arrive so I can return it. I called FedEx last week, and they issued a ticket to expedite the delivery, but it’s still stuck in the originating city. Maybe I was just unlucky with this one. I’ve also filed a complaint with FedEx.

I use these to make other things. I typically cut the top and bottom off and use the turned middle. I feel the cost is rather high for something like this. Other than the cost and the fact that it is made up of laminated pieces it's rather nice.
